Due to the increasing numbers of Covid cases, the seminar will be held online.
The Federation Inter-Environnement Wallonie (IEW) and Bond Beter Leefmilieu (BBL) invite you to a seminar during which the proposals of the European Commission, in the framework of the Fit for 55 Package, relating to the aviation sector will be presented and debated. With this event, IEW and BBL want to stir the Belgian public and political debate on the transition of aviation to climate neutrality with a focus on sustainable fuels and fair taxation (kerosine, ETS and tickets).
The aim of this seminar is to ensure that Belgian policy makers and Belgian members of the European Parliament support ambitious policies to enable the aviation sector to reach climate neutrality.The time of this seminar is key in the outlook of the new legislation “ReFuelEU”, which will be decided on the 9th of December. Main target groups are the aforementioned federal, regional and European policy makers with an interest in aviation as well as experts, civil society and government administrations.
