In oktober 2020 lanceerden India en Zuid-Afrika een uitdagend voorstel bij de Wereldhandelsorganisatie om de pandemie te beëindigen: stop tijdelijk de patenten op alle geneesmiddelen en technologieën die ons kunnen helpen in de strijd tegen het coronavirus.
Meer dan een jaar later blokkeren de Europese Commissie, Noorwegen, het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Zwitserland en farmabedrijven het voorstel nog steeds. Bijna 4 miljoen mensen lieten intussen het leven aan COVID-19. Duizenden doden per dag omdat de EU en de Big Pharma winst boven onze gezondheid plaatsen.
Hoeveel doden nog? Wij willen een vaccin in publieke handen!
Kom op 30 november, de eerste verjaardag van het Europees burgerinitiatief Geen Winst op de Pandemie en de start van de ministerraad van de Wereldhandelsorganisatie, naar #Lights4Lives: de mars voor vaccinrechtvaardigheid.

En octobre 2020, l'Inde et l'Afrique du Sud ont lancé une proposition ambitieuse à l'Organisation mondiale du commerce pour mettre fin à la pandémie : lever temporairement les brevets sur tous les médicaments et technologies qui peuvent aider dans la lutte contre le coronavirus.
Plus d'un an plus tard, la Commission européenne, la Norvège, le Royaume-Uni, la Suisse et les entreprises pharmaceutiques bloquent toujours la proposition. Dans l'intervalle, près de 4 millions de personnes ont perdu la vie à cause du COVID-19. Des milliers de morts par jour parce que l'UE et les Big Pharma font passer le profit avant la santé.
Encore combien de morts ? Nous voulons un vaccin aux mains des services publiques !

In October 2020, India and South Africa launched an ambitious proposal at the World Trade Organization to end the pandemic: temporarily lift patents on all medication and technologies that can help in the fight against the coronavirus.
Over a year later, the European Commission, Norway, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and pharmaceutical companies are still blocking this crucial solution.
In the meantime, nearly 4 million people have lost their lives to COVID-19. Thousand of deaths per day because the EU and the Big Pharma put profit before health.
